Because these books are designed for ages 10 to 14, the storylines presented are not as mature as the Teen Emergent Reader Libraries collections but still remain contemporary, relevant, and enticing. The first boxed set, GO! Emerge, includes 48-page books written at true emergent levels with full-color photographs on every page to support comprehension and engage striving readers. Each leveled box gradually increases in level and word count, allowing students to progress in reading step by step.

Special emphasis is placed on vocabulary with five key vocabulary words highlighted in each book. These words are featured in a glossary at the back of each book and on photo vocabulary cards available with the collection.
